Threaded Marketing Video Production Project

Travel shoots always hit a little different. There is the work side, of course, but there is also the experience of being somewhere new, meeting people in person, and seeing how a brand really operates beyond Zoom calls and emails. Our recent trip to Charlotte, North Carolina with Threaded Marketing Group was one of those trips that reminded me why I love doing video production for a living.
Joe and I traveled out to Charlotte to work with the Threaded Marketing Group team on a variety of video projects. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this shoot was going to be both productive and genuinely fun.
My initial thoughts about Charlotte were that it was much bigger than I expected. The skyline was also way prettier than I imagined. It felt like a city that had a lot going on without feeling overwhelming. Everything felt clean, energetic, and easy to navigate, which honestly makes a big difference when you are hauling gear and bouncing between locations.
One of the most unexpected moments happened almost immediately. The Carolina Panthers were practicing right outside our Airbnb. That was not something I saw coming. Watching a professional NFL team run drills while we were unloading camera cases was a pretty wild way to kick off the trip. It definitely set the tone and made Charlotte feel alive right away.
Meeting the Threaded Marketing Group Team In Person
We had already collaborated with Threaded Marketing Group before this shoot, but getting to spend time with them in person was a totally different experience. Something that did not surprise me, but was still really fun to see firsthand, was how genuine and welcoming the TMG team is.
They are incredibly passionate about their work and deeply committed to each other. You can tell that they genuinely enjoy working together, and that energy carries into everything they do. From filming interviews to casual conversations between setups, it was clear that their culture is not just something they talk about. It is something they live out every day.
This is exactly why capturing company culture on video matters so much. For brands like Threaded Marketing Group, video allows clients and potential clients to see the people behind the work. It shows personality, adaptability, commitment, and trustworthiness. Those qualities are hard to communicate through text alone, but video makes them obvious.
What We Were Filming
The goal of this shoot was to create a mix of video content that Threaded Marketing Group could use across their website, social media, and overall video marketing strategy. Instead of focusing on one single deliverable, we worked together to build a small library of videos that tell a more complete story.
Some of the main video styles we captured included:
Brand and Culture Video
Brand and culture videos are some of the most important pieces of content a company can have. They give viewers a sense of who the company is, how they work, and what they value. For Threaded Marketing Group, this meant highlighting their team dynamics, their collaborative mindset, and the way they show up for clients.
These videos work well because they help build trust early. When people feel like they understand who they would be working with, it lowers barriers and creates confidence.
Team and Leadership Interviews
Interview driven videos allow people to speak in their own words, which is where authenticity really comes through. We focused on capturing honest conversations rather than overly polished responses. This approach helps viewers connect with the people on screen and understand their perspective.
For video marketing in 2025, this type of content continues to be effective because audiences want real voices and real experiences.
Website Videos
Website videos play a huge role in first impressions. Short, intentional videos placed throughout a site help guide visitors, keep them engaged, and reinforce messaging. These videos support written content while adding personality and clarity.
For businesses in North Carolina, Tennessee, Fargo, and beyond, website video content is becoming less optional and more expected.
Short Form and Social Content
Short form video continues to be a major part of video marketing. Capturing flexible, bite sized content allows brands to stay active on social platforms without needing constant new shoots. These clips help keep messaging consistent and visible.
What stood out to me during this shoot was how naturally Threaded Marketing Group fits on camera. There was no forcing energy or pretending to be something they are not. They simply showed up as themselves.
That authenticity is what makes these video styles so effective. When a company has a strong culture, video becomes a way to document it rather than manufacture it. Viewers can feel when something is real, and that feeling builds trust faster than any sales message ever could.
Life Outside the Shoot
As much as the work mattered, some of the best moments happened outside of filming. During the trip, we also got to take part in a murder mystery party, which was chaotic in the best way!
We also had time to explore Charlotte a bit, grab good food, and enjoy the city. Those moments between shoots are often where relationships really form, and they make future collaborations even stronger.
Looking Back on the Trip
This Charlotte travel shoot was a great reminder of why travel projects are so valuable. They allow us to capture more than just visuals. They allow us to understand people, culture, and context in a deeper way.
From the unexpected Panthers practice to meaningful conversations with the Threaded Marketing Group team, this trip delivered on every level. Most importantly, it resulted in video content that truly reflects who TMG is and how they work.
As a Nashville videographer at Chezy Video Co., experiences like this are why I love what I do. Video production is not just about cameras and edits. It is about people, stories, and connection. This trip had all three.
