Randolph MA corporate video production brought us to Horlick for an exciting milestone project celebrating the company’s 90th anniversary. Our team captured interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and customer stories while documenting the people and history that have shaped Horlick over the last nine decades.
At Chezy Video Co., we specialize in creating videos that tell authentic stories. Whether we’re filming in North Carolina, Minnesota, Massachusetts, or anywhere else across the country, our goal remains the same: produce content that helps businesses connect with employees, customers, and communities through compelling visual storytelling.
Our visit to Horlick combined meaningful interviews, industrial cinematography, and a little time exploring historic Boston, making it a trip we won’t soon forget.
Bringing 90 Years of History to Life Through Video
Reaching a 90-year milestone is an extraordinary achievement for any business, especially in the manufacturing industry. Horlick, a company powered by SJE and headquartered in Randolph, Massachusetts, has spent nearly a century building a reputation for precision, reliability, and quality manufacturing. The company specializes in custom electrical control panels and engineered control solutions that serve a wide range of industries, helping customers solve complex challenges with dependable products and expert craftsmanship.
As Horlick prepared to celebrate its 90th anniversary, the team wanted more than a simple event recap. They wanted to preserve the company’s history while recognizing the employees, leadership, and culture that have shaped the business over the decades. That’s where Chezy Video Co. came in.
When companies reach milestones like this, it’s an opportunity to celebrate not only where they’ve been, but also where they’re’re headed. A professionally produced anniversary video allows businesses to tell their story, honor the people behind their success, and create a lasting piece of content that can be shared with employees, customers, partners, and future generations.
Filming Inside Horlick's Manufacturing Facility
One of the most exciting parts of this project was stepping inside Horlick’s manufacturing facility to capture the people and processes that have driven the company’s success for the past 90 years. Manufacturing environments naturally create dynamic visuals, and Horlick’s facility was no exception. From the movement of machinery to the precision of employees assembling electrical control panels, every corner of the plant offered opportunities to tell the company’s story through video.
Our crew spent the day filming throughout the facility, capturing a mix of cinematic B-roll, day-to-day operations, and interviews with the people who know Horlick best. Instead of relying solely on narration, we wanted viewers to hear directly from the individuals who have helped shape the company’s culture and success. Their stories added authenticity that simply can’t be recreated with scripted messaging.
Capturing the Production Process
One of the biggest goals during production was to showcase the craftsmanship behind Horlick’s work. Manufacturing videos are most effective when they allow viewers to see the attention to detail that goes into every product, and Horlick’s team provided plenty of opportunities to do just that.
Throughout the day, we filmed employees assembling control panels, operating specialized equipment, inspecting finished products, and collaborating across departments. The combination of close-up shots, wide angles of the production floor, and cinematic movement helped highlight the scale of the operation while still focusing on the precision required for every project.
Industrial facilities often provide some of the most visually compelling environments for corporate video production. The machinery, lighting, textures, and constant movement naturally create an engaging backdrop, making it easier to produce footage that feels authentic rather than staged. At the same time, filming inside an active manufacturing plant requires careful planning and flexibility. Our team worked efficiently alongside Horlick’s employees to capture everything we needed without interrupting their workflow or slowing production.

Highlighting the People Behind Horlick
While the equipment and manufacturing process made for incredible visuals, the heart of the project was always the people behind the company. Throughout the day, Isabel and Jacob interviewed longtime employees, newer team members, and Horlick’s plant manager, giving each person the opportunity to share their perspective on what makes Horlick special.
One of the themes that emerged in nearly every interview was pride. Employees spoke passionately about the work they do, the relationships they’ve built over the years, and the commitment to quality that has defined the company for generations. Longtime team members reflected on how Horlick has evolved over the decades, while newer employees shared what attracted them to the company and why they’re excited to be part of its future.
A Culture Worth Celebrating
Although Horlick is powered by SJE, it has maintained the close-knit atmosphere of a family business. That sense of community was immediately noticeable as we moved throughout the facility. Everyone we met was welcoming, hardworking, and genuinely excited to participate in the project. It wasn’t something that had to be scripted, it naturally came through in every conversation and interaction we filmed.
Authentic employee stories often become the most memorable moments in a corporate video. Rather than simply explaining what a company stands for, they show viewers the people, values, and culture behind the business. Combined with footage from the production floor, these interviews helped create a video that celebrates not only Horlick’s 90-year history but also the team that continues to shape its future.
I actually think these headings are stronger, too. “Highlighting the People Behind Horlick” and “A Culture Worth Celebrating” are more engaging than “Telling Horlick’s Story Through Its People,” and they make the article easier to scan.
Exploring Randolph and Boston After Production
One of the best parts of traveling for video production is getting the chance to experience the communities where our clients live and work. Although this project had a tight schedule, with a late Thursday arrival, a full day of filming on Friday, and a 6 a.m. flight home Saturday morning, we still found time to explore the area after wrapping up production.
Since Randolph is just a short trip from downtown Boston, we took the train into the city to experience some of its history, food, and culture. It was the perfect way to unwind after a productive day while making the most of our time in Massachusetts.
Experiencing Historic Boston
Our evening began with a walk along Boston’s famous Freedom Trail, where centuries of American history are woven into the streets and landmarks throughout the city. It was a great reminder of how much history Massachusetts has to offer, making it a fitting destination after spending the day celebrating a company with a 90-year legacy of its own.
From there, we headed to Quincy Market to enjoy one of New England’s most iconic meals, fresh lobster. The lively atmosphere, street performers, and local restaurants made it one of the highlights of our evening before we made our way into Boston’s North End.
The North End was full of energy as fans gathered to watch World Cup matches at local restaurants and bars. We joined the excitement, enjoyed the atmosphere, and experienced another side of Boston that visitors don’t always get to see.
To finish the night, we signed up for one of Boston’s popular ghost tours, which took us through some of the city’s oldest neighborhoods while sharing stories from its long and sometimes mysterious past. Before calling it a night, we also crossed one more item off the list by trying Moxie, New England’s famously polarizing soft drink. Despite all the warnings we’d heard beforehand, it turned out to be much better than expected.
Why We Love Telling Stories Like This
Every project reminds us that great video production is about more than cameras, lighting, and editing, it’s about people. Our time with the Horlick team reinforced that idea from the moment we arrived. Their professionalism, pride in their work, and welcoming attitude made this production one we’ll remember for years to come.
At Chezy Video Co., we have the privilege of traveling across the country to help businesses tell meaningful stories. Whether we’re celebrating a milestone anniversary, showcasing a manufacturing process, highlighting company culture, or producing recruitment and brand videos, our goal is always the same: create authentic content that connects with people.
The Horlick 90th anniversary project allowed us to preserve an important chapter in the company’s history while also experiencing a small part of what makes Randolph and the greater Boston area unique. We can’t wait to see the finished videos become part of Horlick’s celebration and are grateful to have played a role in telling their story.
