Meet the Team Behind Chezy Video Co.

As we kick off 5 years of Chezy, it felt right to start with the people who have made it all possible.
Over the past five years, we’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible clients, travel to new places, and tell stories that matter. What makes Chezy what it is today isn’t just the work we produce. It’s the way our team approaches that work. They’re the ones who continually raise the standard, pushing each other to do better, and ensuring every project reflects the level of quality and thoughtfulness we stand for.
To kick off this milestone year, we wanted to take a step back and introduce you to the people behind Chezy, where they come from, what they do, and what drives them.
Meet Zach - Fargo Videographer
What are some things you like to do outside of work? I am a writer, and I like to read. I also bike a lot and average 3-4 movies a week.
What is the most unconventional or useless skill you possess? I know some very good close-up magic tricks.
Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life? If I’m being honest, I’d want Matthew McCaughnahey to play me, but unfortunately, I’m not a handsome Texan. So, being realistic, I’d have Sam Rockwell play me; he’s got charm, but he’s also a weirdo, and I like that.
Can you share a bit about your background? Where are you from, where’d you go to school, etc. I’m from Minneapolis, MN. I lived there until I went to school at MSUM to pursue getting a degree in film production. I was originally gonna be a teacher, but I loved making movies as a kid and thought I might as well do that if it’s my passion.
What is your position? What do you like about your position? What’s your favorite part about working with your clients? I am a videographer here at Chezy. I love it because I get to work with a diverse group of people, and my job is never the same. Getting to see other people and shake hands with community members is extremely rewarding. Being a part of people’s lives and their mission really feels like you are contributing to your community.
What makes you proud to work at Chezy? I feel like we really represent every community. We want to work with anyone and everyone. We always make ourselves available for a conversation, and we take our time crafting a product that is exactly what you’re looking for.
Meet Jacob - Nashville Videographer
Can you share a bit about your background? Where are you from, where’d you go to school, etc. I was born in a small town right outside of Portland, Oregon, but I grew up in Dickinson, North Dakota, and eventually went to MSUM in Moorhead, Minnesota for a BFA in Animation and a minor in Film Production. I grew up spending a lot of time in the badlands in western ND and at the lake and hiking/biking in Minnesota. Obviously I live in Nashville now, but the Fargo area and the Twin Cities are second and third homes to me!
What is your position? What do you like about your position? What’s your favorite part about working with your clients? I’m Chezy’s videographer in Nashville! Apart from being able to use my technical skills like editing and being able to use video as a way to tell stories, I really love getting to work in and see such a wide variety of industries that I’d normally never know a lot about. In particular, I really love getting to work with nonprofits and tell meaningful stories for them. My favorite thing about working with our clients is getting to start out with a concept with them at the very beginning of the project, build a meaningful relationship with them throughout the process, and see the whole thing tie up nicely as it comes to a close. Then, seeing the impact of that work in the real world is really meaningful.
What makes you proud to work at Chezy? Honestly, it makes me really proud that we can give such high quality video in such an accessible way – whether you’re a global brand or a small nonprofit, you’re gonna get a great product for an affordable price, and that’s super cool.
What are some things you like to do outside of work? I like to be active: running, hiking, biking, or just going on walks through the various trails or parks Nashville has to offer! Also reading and playing board games.
What is the most unconventional or useless skill you possess? I USED to be forklift certified… but my certification expired. I guess I still know how though. Also I have a 2000 skill on Wii tennis.
What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? Visiting family in Norway. It was awesome to get to see some places from our family’s history, including an apple orchard, and the house my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather Jacob was born in!
Meet Isabel - Head of Partner Development
What makes you proud to work at Chezy? The stories we get to share, the care that goes into making sure we tell them as best as possible, and the trust our clients put in us to do so. Our team is built up of some incredible people and I’m lucky to be around individuals who push each other to be the best version of themselves both in and out of the office.
What are some things you like to do outside of work? I love being active and outside as much as possible! Traveling and seeing as much of the world as I can is a big passion of mine! You can usually find me at F45 or a local hot yoga studio, watching sports (usually hockey), at a concert, on a walk in a park, or hanging out with friends and family. I’ve also ridden horses and danced my entire life and try to make time for those when I can.
What is something people would be surprised to learn about you? I studied film photography in high school and college. I love working in the darkroom.
What’s something you’re currently obsessed with? Hot yoga has been my recent obsession the last few months. That might change when it starts to warm up in Nashville.
Can you share a bit about your background? Where are you from, where’d you go to school, etc. I’m born and raised in Nashville, TN. I studied marketing at Elon University before moving to London to pursue my masters in international marketing at King’s College London. I moved back to Nashville last summer and started with Chezy shortly after.
What is your position? What do you like about your position? What’s your favorite part about working with your clients? My position as our Head of Partner Development is to lead our partner and affiliate growth nationwide! I also do our marketing and help improve internal processes. I love my position because of how different each day looks. I’ve gotten to know some incredible people and organizations and build strong foundations to relationships that will hopefully last a very long time. My favorite part about working with our clients in general is getting to know their stories and learn about so many different industries. About 40% of our clients are nonprofits, and getting to be a small part of the incredible work that they do is very rewarding.
Meet Luke - Head of Video Production
Can you share a bit about your background? Where are you from? Where’d you go to school, etc. I’m from Dilworth, MN – right next door to Fargo-Moorhead. I went to Dilworth-Gylndon-Felton highschool, and then attended Minnesota State University Moorhead for a Film Production degree. I’ve always been in the Fargo-Moorhead area!
What is your position? What do you like about your position? What’s your favorite part about working with your clients? I’m Head of Video Production at Chezy, which means I get to help oversee all aspects of video work that comes in and out of Chezy! I love the variety of client projects, working with our videographer team, the differences between weeks, and how we can help share some really cool stories. It’s fun developing long term relationships with our clients, and being able to be an extension of their team. It’s super rewarding seeing how our video work is helping their organization.
What makes you proud to work at Chezy? I’m proud because of our team, past and present. We’ve accomplished so much for such a young group of people. From the 100+ Five-Star Google reviews, to expanding into different cities, I feel like it all comes down to the team and how much we all care. I’m also extremely proud of how many people have trusted us to help share their stories over the years.
What are some things you like to do outside of work? I love staying active and moving my body. I train for marathons, play basketball, pickleball, weightlifting, and read fantasy books. I’m big into finances. I love watching TV shows with my girlfriend and cooking with her.
Do you play any instruments? I played the trumpet throughout junior high and high school. I was pretty good at it. I was in Jazz Band, Pep Band, and did Honor band.
What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? The UK is probably my favorite place I’ve traveled. I went with a group of 4 guys, and we road tripped it. From driving on the wrong side of the road, hiking near Scotland, wandering in Wales, staying at an estate, and just experiencing the rich English culture was pretty amazing.
Meet Joe - Founder & CEO
What excites you about the future of Chezy? It’s exciting to have multiple teams around the country with so many cool places to see.
Early bird or night owl? Early bird. I get up at 5am every morning.
Do you play any instruments? I touch a ukulele here and there.
If you could magically become an expert at something overnight, what would it be? I’d like to know all the languages or get really good at penmanship.
Can you share a bit about your background? Where are you from, where’d you go to school, etc. From lake Elmo MN, an agriculture community, while also being a 10 minute drive from downtown St. Paul! Grew up on a beef cattle farm. Instead of living the cabin life growing up, we would go to the sailboat on Lake Superior. I went to MSUM (the Princeton of the Prairie), where I studied finance and management and played football.
What is your position? What do you like about your position? What’s your favorite part about working with your clients? Founder and CEO. Jumping around from all of our markets and spearheading growth and expansion of Chezy Video Company. I love to find solutions that our clients can use to solve some of their problems, whether it is promotional, sales driven or recruiting, internal communication, whatever.
What makes you proud to work at Chezy? I’m proud to have 100% 5 star reviews on all of our platforms (Google + Clutch). Proud that we have a culture that is set where all of our team raises the standard to make sure that every client is taken care of to the best of their ability and I don’t even need to be involved for that to happen. Proud to be fully operating in 2 different markets with more on the horizon.

Every project, every story, and every relationship has played a role in getting us here. The work we’re able to do is a direct reflection of the people and organizations who invite us in, share their stories, and trust us to help bring them to life. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. Your trust pushes us to raise the standard, approach every project with care and intention, and continue getting better with each story we tell. We’re incredibly grateful for all the stories we’ve been able to tell and are even more excited for everything ahead! 2026 is going to be the best year yet!
